Resumen:
Beyond the Bungalow. In early twentieth-century America, the bungalow pioneered new design developments for modest, middle-class dwellings, and it became the era's most popular home. Yet during the same time, other homes were built in a much wider variety of shapes and sizes; many adopted some of the bungalow's innovative planning and design features, and also shared similar influences of the Arts & Crafts movement. Beyond the Bungalow makes a groundbreaking exploration of these homes, placing the bungalow into a broader context and showing how it was really one part of a much larger family. |
