Resumen:

Shark Island : Wiki Coffin, linguist and peace officer aboard the U.S. Exploring Expedition, is intrigued when the convoy encounters a wrecked sealing ship on the shoals of remote, uninhabited Shark Island. Soon intrigue becomes alarm as a dead body turns up with a dagger in its back. The victim is none other than the enigmatic captain of the doomed sealer, and Wikis colleague and nemesis Lieutenant Forsythe is suspected of the crime. Though Forsythe is capable of violence, Wiki believes that he is innocent. Was the murder instead a case of mutinous sealers taking the law into their own hands? Did long-buried secrets come back to haunt a dishonorable captain? Or is Shark Island home to something more sinister than a secretive sealing crew?
